Why we charge this way
Hourly invoices are a bad sign.
When a studio bills you by the hour, it's asking you to accept a blank cheque. Any complication, you pay for it. Any extra hour, you pay for it.
A closed price flips it: we put the project's margin on the line. If something gets complicated, we find more efficient ways to solve it. The incentive is to stay sharp, not to stay slow.
When we ship, maintenance comes included as a monthly fee. If at any point you decide you don't need it, you leave. No penalty, no lock-in. Loyalty isn't forced with clauses: it's earned every month.
Frequently asked
What people end up asking.
What does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. We give a closed price in the first call, after we understand what you need. Indicative: between €5,000 and €25,000 for most projects. The maintenance afterwards is a separate, smaller monthly fee. If your project falls outside that, we say so before signing.
Does maintenance have lock-in?
No. No lock-in, no six-month notice. The project ships and it's yours. Maintenance is monthly — if you decide you don't need it, you leave. Files and code stay with you.
What if I only need a small site?
For focused sites (landing, microsite) we run shorter projects, 4–6 weeks, with a proportional price. Optional maintenance. Just ask.
Who owns the code?
You do. The repository and every deliverable is yours from day one. If you decide to leave, you take it all with you.
What happens to existing clients if you scale up?
We don't want to scale up. Bandrau is small on purpose. If we ever grow, we'll do it with the same standard of judgement — only bringing in people who work the way we do.
