Seika Studio

An open archive for ideas that aren’t products yet. They asked us for a place to keep what usually gets lost.

Approach

Seika came to us from California with an unusual brief: an open archive to keep references, visual thoughts and digital explorations before they become a brand, a screen or nothing at all. Some ideas only need a place to stay.

We organised the archive into three lines. Digital culture: the internet, communities and the small rituals that define how we live inside screens. Visual systems: forms, rhythms, interfaces and typefaces that build a way of looking. Unbuilt concepts: narrative prototypes that exist as possibility before they take a definitive form.

We designed the identity and built the website around that idea. A deliberately sober design, an archive and not a showroom: restrained typography, plenty of air and a navigation that invites slow browsing. A place to pause, not to sell.
