Festa Major Castellar

A town festival programme has been a forty-page PDF for decades: heavy, unsearchable, and impossible to open at eleven at night in the middle of a packed square. Nobody commissioned this site and nobody paid for it — we are from the town and we wanted the programme to hand. The hundred and six events in the council’s official programme, turned into something you can use standing up and with one hand: filters by day and by kind, every event with its time and its venue linked to the map, and «El meu programa» to save your own, which stays on your phone and never travels to a server. Catalan by default, because that is the language of the festival, with Spanish and English for anyone visiting. No accounts, no cookies, no banner and no advertising: static pages that open on whatever signal survives in a crowded square. And large text and high contrast one tap away, because the whole town goes to the festival.
